Simple Note of Thanks : )

Tis the season for...well...lots of things! Being grateful, giving and yes of course shopping! So to fulfill all those "things", thank you to all of our friends and family who have supported us in our business and life in general. A challenging year...sure but that is common for many of us out there and not as challenging as those who have sick loved ones or have lost a loved one. So I am grateful for my loving husband who is my #1 fan, my friends, my business associates who have believed in us and promoted us in some way shape or form...you know who you are becuase we did weddings/events a few times or more together throughout 2010 : ), our Assistant Creative Coordinator, Angela York for her dedication and hard work, & my family from the west coast all the way to the east coast...I love you! Giving-in 2010 we donated cash, service & time to Make A Wish Foundation which was a wonderful experience! Shopping-I started a little earlier this year and decided I'm going to make the best effort to shop local and share my local shopping experience with everyone I can...so on facebook I add a new local merchant until Christmas day...be sure to check it out..some of the merchants like Barbed Wire Rose Bath, Body & Antiques may give you a discount via this ad on facebook
To finish the year stay tuned for a special peak at our most recent wedding transformation and News for the New Years! Check us and more elite vendors out at Northern Arizona Wedding & Event Society : )

Spooktacular Success & For the Love of Fall Weddings...

Okay so it's been a while since I've touched base...I admit...I've neglected you...my blogging friends. Fall has been fabulous for 2010 and we're so excited to get a jump start on 2011 Wedding Season, which is growing from Spring into late Fall! We had the opportunity to coordinate and decorate at some marvelous venues throughout Northern Arizona this fall. We did our Annual Halloween Spooktacular at Hassayampa Inn and it was a success! Thank you Hassayampa Inn www.hassayampainn.com, pawsandposes.com,DJ Anaut, Trade Sound Productions, sugaredniced.com, creative cakes by deana, and our amazing starStruck! team.
We hit the road in October at a steady pace with one of my newly favorite types of wedding (eco-chic) with our lovely couple Melinda and Ryan and Rustic Pines Simplicity with Rebecca and Luther....they are too much fun! here are a few photos...

Melinda and Ryan's color was Purple accented with yellow's and ivory. The wedding was held in Sedona at Creekside Inn B & B...a truly amazing and quanit B & B. Rebecca and Luther held their wedding at Prescott Pines campground...I knew we were in for a transformation challenge and we were up for the challenge because we have the eye for detail and the passion to create your "WOW" experience!

stay tuned for a very unique and magnificent experience in transforming a special venue here in Prescott that can seat up to 200 or more people! More to come....

Summer of Love & a bit of Rustic Nostalgia

It's been a while since I've shared with you what's happening with StarStruck! and where I've been or what I've been up to...in any case let's just get right down to the basics...family, friends & yes of course weddings & our Annual Halloween Spooktacular! Which I must save for a later date & be sure you do too...that event is one whole fun topic in itself!

We've had a wonderful summer and really enjoyed working with our our bride, Christina & Groom, Paul in our most recent wedding of the summer.
Christina and Paul are truly a union, in harmony...an absolute delight to be around. The both of them participated in all levels of their wedding day details, from ceremony to reception & the after party...these two created a vision of their own.Christina is your mid-west genuine gal & Paul is your Southern gentleman...these two make for a fine union!
A few details shared by the StarStruck team & bride & groom : )

A few special candid moments we simply couldn't miss...*Notice the table numbers-created by bride's brother...aren't these wonderful?

Cheers Paul & Christina, thank you for sharing your Summer of Love wedding with us! Your wedding allowed us to tap into our historic side & create detailed elegance full of nostalgic charm!

From Starbucks to StarStruck!

We met Ashley and Kendrick at Starbucks and from the very first meeting we could see the clear vision this bride and groom had for their wedding. They wanted old world charm mixed with elegance. The colors were (red, black and white) and I could harldy wait! Ashley showed me a picture of her dress on the very first meeting and I could see so much excitement in her eyes...Kendrick had to look away, it was so sweet! The dress...white, dramatic, fluffy, elegant, strapless with a beautiful train! Taking the dress and the combination of their personalities and their vision into consideration I began to create their wedding day and the ambiance I wanted for them. A hard working couple, a gentleman and a bride with a clear vision who shared laughter each time we met, I wanted this day to be a breeze. Well to be literal...in the midst of Spring, Ashley and Kendrick had a unique wedding...they had quite the breeze...practically a blizzard..it was snowing with a major wind chill. When you see the photos by Reeves Photography (www.reevesphoto.com) you can't tell, and see the calmness of the reception. Their wedding was non-denominational with a special rose ceremony held at Chapel of The Valley, and the reception was timeless at Hotel St. Michael. The room was full of special features unique to Ashley and Kendrick such as the desert bar, 3.5' tall candelabras with elegant feathered centerpieces and a bride and groom stage. The stage and seating was a surprise courtesy StarStruck! Whether meeting Ashley and Kendrick at Starbucks or The Library their vision and trust was in the hands of StarStruck! so embraced and produced...thank you Ashley and Kendrick

In a Brides Shoes

www.allansflowers.com

Spring has come and gone but my memories of our weddings seem to hold present. Perhaps it is because I love what I do and I am passionate about helping others, bringing people together and creating beauty out of simplicity. For some clients budget may not be a concern on their wedding day and for others budget is a high priority. For us either way we look at, it is an absolute honor to be selected as as their coordinator and designer for their wedding. I have such complete and utter satisfaction when I have the opportunity to meet them on our "first date" :o) or what most of us know as "Initial Consultation", in which I offer to them Complimentary (FREE of charge). After all I wouldn't want to meet a Coordinator and feel obligated to have to pay her and it turns out that they just weren't a good fit for me and my fiance or finances...for that matter. I do try my best to put myself in a brides shoes...after all, I have been a bride and now I am happily married to an amazing man who is a solid genuine gentleman from Pennsylvania country! : ) Being a bride-to-be is exciting and can be over-whelming...some of us can feel like we're trying to please everyone, you have a friend who has her vision, you have family who has their vision...and opinions, you have a new family you're getting to know...you have the cost of the wedding...schedules to work with...and somewhere in there your vision is you walking down that aisle with so much excitement, anticipation without feeling exhausted/stressed...because you simply want to have the night of your life in your fiance arms (now husband) dancing the night away in your bridal shoes...whether it be flip flops, bare feet, platforms, peep toes, cowgirl boots...whatever tickles your fancy...your the bride and you're going to be in the shoes!

Please contact us today for your free no obligation Initial Consultation (928)445-0012

Here are a few photos and memories of recent weddings we coordinated/designed...enjoy!

Wrap it up...here we come for a Vegas Visit!

So we wrapped up Prescott Wedding Walk and we're off and running into May with Prom and two weddings and a consultation in Vegasto
meet our beautiful Vegas bride, Kayla! That's me with Kayla-photo on the left : )While we were there we went to her fitting because she wanted me to see her in her dress...and to show me the bridesmaids gowns, and talk colors...how could I resist? The truth of the matter, I think I was more excited than Kayla to hear about colors and I felt honored that she took me for her fitting. Goodness she looked BEAUtiful! While I would love to show you a picture of her in her dress, my fingers are sealed on that deal. I don't dare want to risk her fiance, Andy seeing any photos of his bride-to-be before their wedding day. That would be a big slap on my wrist and some extras ;0) What I will leave you with is a beautiful photo of the Bellagio
...ahhh! While at the Bellagio, we stopped for some dinner, just spur of the moment. Hey, we were hungry and felt like a nice dinner...what we didn't expect was this AMAZING European/French fine dining experience! We walked down the marble stairway into Picasso (http://www.bellagiolasvegas.com/restaurants/picasso.aspx), and was greeted by this beautiful young lady. We took a quick glance in the room and noticed suits, elegant dresses and stunning tall floral arrangements artistically placed throughout the room. Before, I even had a chance to review the menu, I was caught up in the beauty of the room and was escorted by this handsome gentleman to my seat in which he pulled my seat first and called me ma'dam and then my husbands seat.."sir." I think it was when I noticed that every time a waiter walked passed our table, they said "excuse me", I knew we were in for more than a treat...this was going to be an experience and we were going to enjoy every minute! Our table had a view of the "dancing water" and the food was beyond delicious! Once we paid our bill, the waiter came to me and said, "this is for the lady"...I've got to admit..I was anxious about opening this gold box that read "Picasso" (that's the name of the restaurant)...but I did...can you guess what was in this box? Reply to this post and if you can guess what this box had in it, you'll win a $75.00 StarStruck! Gift Certificate! Start guessing... : ) Each person has 3 guesses and the first person who can guess or within the category wins!

Growing with time

As I mentioned in the previous post, we went to San Diego to see my brother JC graduate from high school and I just can't believe how much time has passed and how many things have changed. It's wonderful to have such great memories of family and we all help each other at one time or another. JC I am so proud of you and miss you already! May you continue to make wise decisions and do things in life that you are passionate about! With love, your sister Fetu

Where has Time gone?

Wow! Where has time gone? Is it already summer? I just returned from my Hometown, San Diego to watch my brother JC graduate from high school. I can't believe he's already going off to college...I thought it was just yesterday that I was bathing him and changing his diapers. He will be studying theater and business...more on that later. Back to time...and as we know...in weddings and special events...time is everything-it puts everything into perspective, we prioritize by time, we create schedules, itineraries, checklist, seat guests, etc...and best of all...we prepare our stunning brides to walk down the aisle to marry their soul-mate..you know..."Prince Charming". In the next few blogs, I will share with you where my time has been spent and with whom so stay tuned

Birds are singing, Champagne flutes are clinging & my phone is-a-ringing! Yep..

Spring is here and I'm loving it it!

Where have I been and what have I been up to? I think it's more like...where haven't I been and what haven't I been up to : ). From Arizona to Pennsylvania for family reasons, planning a gorgeous Prescott destination wedding and a major production for Prescott brides with my partner of 928 Brides Guide, Cindy Reeves....and keeping up with the hubby!

Wheww! What a weekend...I think I've finally caught my breath! Black and White Beauty traditions and classic style wedding on April 22 and Prescott Wedding Walk on April 24 in Downtown Prescott. What a pleasure to be Ashley and Kendrick's wedding coordinator and decorator. A couple that truly finds happiness and romance in the arms of one another. I will be posting photos of that wedding in a few weeks.

Prescott Wedding Walk was amazing...fun...energetic...fabulous...a grand success! We began our day with brides, groom, and guests at the Hassayampa Inn in downtown Prescott, & got the brides on their way with their "bridal fab bags" and map, located in PopRocket newspaper(loved the map, John)..off they were for shopping, visiting with exclusive vendors at Hotel St. Michael, and headed back to Hassayampa Inn for Marvel, Fashion Show and Happy Hour where prizes were announced. Now if you're looking for marvelous, hip & chic reception furniture...Creative Event Rentals..the crew is always on-time, quality products, quality service...innovative products, traditional to cutting edge and highly professional. WOW! Wouldn't I like to be a bride again for the fun, adventure, fashion & amazing prizes that were given. Fashions by Jennyvi Dizon Couture (some designs included fun and elegant custom gowns) and I do! I do! Wedding Boutique of Flagstaff (stunning cathedral trains to simple and elegant easy to travel gowns), Hair by Nyla D' and Hair Station 105, and make-up by DeLovely Cosmetics Apothecary...some prizes included free night stays at Marriott Hotels, Hassayampa Inn, Hotel St. Michael, over $2,000 on sunning venues such as Hassayampa Golf Club and Windmill House, a diamond solitaire from Raskin's Jewelers, oh and so much more...cake discounts, flowers by Allan's Flowers of Prescott, wedding decor & planning...I think just about everything you need to plan your wedding...we had it from fabulous wedding professionals at Prescott Wedding Walk. The event would not have been a success without our sponsors, we share our sincere gratitude for their generous support and contribution: Hassayampa Golf Club, Windmill House, Creative Event Rentals, Allan's Flowers, DeLovely Cosmetics Apothecary, Raskin's Jewelers, Marriott Springhill Suites & Residence Inn, Granite Creek Vineyards, Wink Video, & A Storybook Moment Photography. To my partner of Prescott Wedding Walk, Cindy, Prescott Wedding Walk would not be possible without you and thank you to your family, Lee & blessings to Bethany. To my wonderful, gentle and patient husband...as I said in my vows when we married "...I don't consider myself lucky...I consider myself blessed..." and Angela-StarStruck! Assistant Coordinator, our "Star-Angel", & a sister...what a team we are! Everyone (greeters, registration, models, "changers", set-up, take-down) and everybody involved...my sincere appreciation..hugs, smiles and cheers! Looking forward to 2nd Annual Prescott Wedding Walk...stay tuned...

Celebrating 10 Years!

January 9th, 2010 was the 10 year anniversary of the Agua Fria National Monument. The celebration was held at the beautiful Horseshoe Ranch, and was full of culture and entertainment for all ages. Vendors and entertainers from all around the area came out to celebrate this special day and the guests were delighted to see the variety of products and demonstrations. Tamales, BBQ, Fry Bread, Kettle Korn, Pies, and other foods were available for the guests as well as Jewelry, Handmade soaps and lotions, Pottery, and artwork that were available for purchase. Entertainment included Native American dancers and singers, Atlatl throwing, Educational speakers and a fabulous country style band. The atmosphere was happy and exciting, and the sun stayed out all day keeping the cold at bay for a majority of the event. Thank you to BLM for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this special day, and thank you to all of the vendors and guests that came out to celebrate with us! It was a great success and a pleasure to be a part of!
